Welcome to J-SALSA KOIZUMI!
Anyone in any county can enjoy Salsa dancing. That is the kind of Salsa dancing I teach.
Cuban style, L.A. style, N.Y. style....there are many different styles of Salsa dancing in the world. But the style of Salsa dancing tha has become hot in Japan now is not limited by these categories. I call this Japanese-style, or J-style for short.
I have studied under instructors like Alberto Romay from Cuba, and Mika Takenaga who is a famous Salsa dancer in Japan. And I mastered many styles of Salsa in places around the world like New York and Pueruto Riko. Based on these experiences, I now teach Salsa that expands on those different styles to people from several different countries. If you can master my styles of Salsa dancing, you'll be able to match the style of any Salsa dance partner in the world.
Japan doesn't actually have its own traditional culture of couples dancing. So, at first, a lot of Japanese people are uncomfortable dancing in pairs. But when they start Salsa dancing, most people loosen up and really enjoy it. So, I think of Japanese-style Salsa as a kind of couples dancing for people who don't know much about couples dancing that anyone can master regardless of where they are from.
Japanese-style Salsa is Salsa that even people with no couples dancing experience can master and share by dancing with people from all over the world.
